                                    Who We Are

Melissa V Rentchler

In her third career iteration as a triple credentialed California State Teacher Librarian, she also holds an MLIS, and an M.Ed. in Cross Cultural Teaching. Melissa brings recent, lengthy, successful Fortune 500 experience in customer services, sales, mentoring, team building, quality assurance, processes improvements, and best business practices to her endeavors. She is passionate about ongoing, worldwide learners' needs regardless of recessions and great resets. She finds turmoil an opportunity for creative destruction and evolution of staid, obsolete practices. You'll find her in her kitchen "lab", or in the backyard botanicals, or working with visual arts, or at the beach soaking up some negative ions. Melissa is in her tenth year with the awards-winning Long Beach Unified School District, California, U.S.A., as a Teacher Librarian at two schools.

Lorraine B Wiener

With the bearing and resemblance of the beloved, deceased chef Julia Child, Lorraine may also be found sculpting with marzipan for a dessert, or creating with zeal and aplomb in her writing and researching, or learning some new skill like spinning fibers.  Lorraine, also  an American educator with a graduate degree as a librarian, brings practical experiences from teaching library skills to elementary, middle school and high school students in striving schools. Fond of her tiny teacup collection and storytelling techniques, Lorraine can be quite entertaining. Her current Inglewood School District high school students report having "the best librarian in the world." She relishes having her expertise applied and is a terror when given those opportunities, often losing sleep over the excitement of planning and implementation of solves to librarian type problems.
